Peter Lewis, will be making his annual visit to NPIA in his role as Northern
Area Representative with the New Zealand Property Investors Federation
(NZPIF).
It is a real bonus that Peter is also the Vice-President of the Auckland
Property Investors Association (APIA) as well as NZPIF Vice-President. This
puts Peter in an excellent position to speak in some detail, on the
Federation and on developments we should be concerned about.
This will be followed by Peter's "Why are you Doing This?" presentation.
- Don't miss out on a relevant and engaging presentation!
Why are You Doing This?
Property investors are often encouraged to act with the end in mind. For
many of us, that means our retirement or at least some kind of relaxation
after many years of working hard and making tough choices.
Ask most investors why they bother with property, and many will respond with
"Because I want to retire from the day-to-day grind of paid employment and
spend my time doing what I really want to do".
That is why it is so important to have your goal in mind when you are
growing your investment portfolio. Making the right choices today will,
given time, eventually pay off by giving you the opportunity to enjoy the
wealth you have created on your own terms. This presentation is designed to
bridge the gap from where you are today to your ideal life. You will learn
to focus on the metrics that matter, make plans and adjustments to get back
on course and find out ways to expedite your investment returns/outcomes to
have more control over your own future.
Talking points
* Why you should plan for your goal now;
* How to work out your 'retirement income' and how does that
translate to the type and size of property portfolio you should have;
* When can you retire from employment and really live your life;
* Is selling your portfolio the inevitable answer or is there another
alternative;
* How to account for emergencies and other unforeseen events;
