Barry Trass, one of Northland’s best-known businessmen, will cover a range of topics of interest to property investors. Barry and his wife Jenny co-own Homeworld Design & Build which they have been operating locally since 1980. Barry is an accomplished property developer, having successfully carried out a range of subdivisions and comprehensive developments. He is an active and involved champion of Northland business and industry, being chairman of the Prosper Northland Trust (PNT). PNT is a community-led organisation, primarily concerned with ensuring viable projects that enhance the economic growth and development of Whangarei and Northland can proceed. The Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau MÄori Art Gallery is their first project. It will be the last authentic Hundertwasser building in the world and an iconic NZ landmark on a grand scale, drawing visitors from throughout NZ and globally. Construction is timed to start early this year, with completion due 2020.
